I need to be able to add a specific task with a fixed amount of time. For instance, I charge for site visits to review plans, measure etc. How can I enter them into the program? e.g. 2/26/04 - consultation 1 hr. @ $60

I do this kind of thing all the time... just hit start, then stop, then edit the new task to suit. In your example, put an arbitrary start time, then an end time one hour later, then hit the Recalculate Work time button. You can manually set the work time to "60" to get an exact minute count for one hour. Set the hourly rate to $60 for the task, and add "consultation 1 hr." to the Notes field.
